Dry Cleaning Franchising Company ZIPS Dry Cleaners Hires Anne Weakley as New Franchise Trainer
FranchiseWorks.com | Dry Cleaning Franchise ZIPS Dry Cleaners Hires Anne Weakley as New Franchise Trainer. Industry Expert Brings More Than 25 Years Experience to Fast-Growing Dry Cleaning Franchise Chain.

Greenbelt, MD – ZIPS Dry Cleaners, an aggressively expanding national dry cleaning franchise concept with more than 25 locations along the east coast, has announced the addition of Anne Weakley as the company’s new Franchise Trainer.

ZIPS Dry Cleaners’ Andy Cucchiara, Vice President of Franchise Operations, says he is counting on Weakley’s extensive knowledge and industry experience to help strengthen the training of ZIPS Dry Cleaners’ franchisees at every location.

“As we continue to grow on a national level, the success of our company correlates to the quality of training we provide our franchisees,” said Cucchiara. “Anne has the ability to educate our franchisees and teach them the skills necessary to be successful within our system.”

Weakley joins ZIPS Dry Cleaners with more than 25 years in the dry cleaning industry.  Before joining the fast-growing dry cleaning franchise chain, she worked at the Dry Cleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) as a Textile Analyst and instructor in the education department.  With an extensive knowledge of both front end and production positions, Weakley has worked in all positions including operating dry cleaning machinery; forwarding clothes to proper pressing stations; pressing all types of garments; assembly and bagging.

“Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various areas of the dry cleaning business,” said Weakley. “Because of my experience, I am able to pass along my knowledge to franchisees and answer a variety of questions that might come up during the training process.”

Along with offering ongoing support to all ZIPS Dry Cleaners locations and store openings, Weakley will be responsible for the training of new owners on front counter service, customer service, dry cleaning, pressing/finishing, assembly and laundry.

About ZIPS
ZIPS, founded in 1996 and began franchising in 2006, has more than 25 locations on the East Coast. The company offers a fixed price of $1.99 for any garment to be dry cleaned and $1.19 for any shirt to be laundered. ZIPS offers same day service “In by 9 out by 5” with the motto, “We take the sting out of dry cleaning.” Furthermore, ZIPS is a cash only business which helps keep the price down for consumers and thus provides a large amount of inventory on a constant basis for the franchise owners (which can average nearly 3,000 garments per day). With less than 10 percent of total costs going towards supplies and inventory, ZIPS is proving that it is a hot investment.
